SHREDDER,TRANSPORT & STAFF COSTS
The volumes of PET bottles collected from our bins, have increased tremendously, demonstrating that the public is aware of the importance of recycling and is supporting our efforts to keep the environment clean. It has therefore become necessary for We-Recycle to move to a larger depot, employ staff for PET bottle collection (assisted by volunteers) and operate a shredder.
We-Recycle, with the help of sponsorship, has obtained a shredder to turn large volumes of empty PET bottles filled with air, into shreds that fill approximately one-fifth of the space of un-shredded bottles. This will make the collection and storage process economical and efficient and eliminate the wait for service providers to collect the plastic. Collection bags are re-used as soon as the contents are delivered for shredding at our depot in Black River.
With transport, a shredder, depot and staff, the eco bins are now emptied completely on a regular monthly basis to ensure space for depositing more bottles.

SPONSOR A BIN
You or your business can sponsor a pair of bins that will be placed at a bus stop with your logo on a bin. The bin with PET bottles will be emptied by We-Recycle while the local Garbage Collectors will empty the litter bin.
Sponsorship for the pair of bins with your business logo will be Rs 6,500 together with a monthly charge of Rs1,000/month to empty the bin. The total amount of sponsorship for the pair of bins will therefore be Rs 18,500 for a year.
We are grateful for all financial support which can keep our little island clean.
